Words are crucial in revealing the true conditions of a heart. What we speak about most of the time reflects both our passions and our fears. The problem is when we allow circumstances to mold us and we start singing the social song of the challenges facing us. It’s normal for people when things are tough to whine and complain telling everyone how things are hard. God through prophet Isaiah warned his people against singing the social song. We should not see things as the world does nor should we be scared of what scares others. God who has everything figured out expects our fears and worries to be directed to him alone. We don’t get our supplies from our jobs or businesses! They are just vessels that God uses to sustain us. The moment we allow our secondary sources of income to substitute God, we set ourselves up for trouble. Where have you refused to help someone, out of fear because everyone is saying how things are tough? There is a God who uses ravens during times of famine to feed his family. Drop the social song and let others know you have a Heavenly Father in control! You won’t lack and although you may not get your usual buffet, some ravens are on standby to serve you your daily bread!
““Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.” Isaiah 8:12 NIV
