Loneliness is one of the most dreaded things in our generation. We are inundated by a longing to belong always looking to be understood and accepted. The danger with such an obsession is loosing sight of what is noble and just given that the majority are not always right. Life ought to be lived not in the light of the majority but in the light of God‘s standards. We should never turn a blind eye to evil no matter who is doing it nor should we make the enemy of our friends an enemy. Doing so is to surrender our God given freedom in choosing what is good for us. This denies us our human conscience turning us into tamed beasts that only live to serve the dictates of their master. Noah stood alone as a preacher of righteousness in his generation and refused to allow the wicked dictates of his generation then to influence his choices. He stood out as a Lone Ranger! What influences your choices and influences? Is it the spirit of God guiding you or the dictates of your family, tribe and race? Do you seek the honor of God in your choices or you’ve surrendered your voice to the majority? May God raise for his own a generation whose drive and zeal is to seek his will and honor!
““Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd,” Exodus 23:2 NIV
