Champions are borne out of the challenges of life. It’s the most difficult of exams that differentiate A students from average ones just the way rough seas make great captains and the difficult terrains of life make great drivers. God prepares His servants through the crucibles of affliction. The Scriptures gives the account of the Israelites in Egypt. When a new Pharaoh came to power who decided to make their lives bitter with bondage and hard labor, little did He know that he had just set in motion the release of Gods divine blessings over these slaves. The more they were oppressed, the more they increased. It’s like God’s grace competes with our afflictions and the more the enemy tries to pit us down, the more God’s grace keeps lifting us up. We were made for the storms and we don’t retreat in fear when we see the storms of life because storms have a way of inviting God into our situations. Where are you almost giving up because of the challenges that you are facing? Where are you judging your situation based on the intensity of the storm? Where are you allowing fear to overshadow your faith? The current pandemic is a real threat to many? It’s true it has affected many livelihoods and has hit many nations hard but it’s also true that although I cannot explain how, with God on our side, we shall soar on wings like eagles, we shall run and not be weary and we shall walk and not faint. God designed us with the storms of life in mind.
“But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites” Exodus 1:12 NIV
