We all know the power of numbers when it comes to task execution. We know what powers there is behind unity of command when it comes to effective management. In the same manner, unity of purpose is very crucial in achieving organizational goals and that is why strategic managers lays emphasis on the need for clear organizational visions, missions and goals. The same applies when it comes in our relationship with God. The Scriptures gives the story of the people who were building the Tower of Babel . God himself attested to the fact that if those people stuck together as one and spoke the same language, nothing would become impossible for them to do. God in his word emphasis the power behind unit and oneness of purpose. This is especially strong in marriage circles where a couple can achieve more when they have a common purpose and all pulling in the same direction. Actually the scriptures says that prayers between partners can be hindered in they are not one in mind and spirit and do not share a common purpose. God always commands a blessing where there is unity. Jesus applied the principle in that before He healed anyone He always wanted to confirm if there was congruence of Faith. He would ask the person if He believed in his ability to do the healing. The Holy Spirit in the same breath was poured out when the apostles and followers of Jesus were gathered together in one place and in one accord. It is Jesus who said that where two or three shall gather in his Name, He will be there in their midst. Where could agreeing with someone speedy the receiving of the blessing you’ve been trusting God for? Whose faith can you combine with yours and build synergy in your prayers? Where do you act as a Lone Ranger when God expects you to be part of his family? Faith respects synergy and Heaven is moved by two or more people praying together over an issue. Our faith in God must also build synergy with him and be completely sold to the fact God is not only able to do what we are praying for but is more than willing to do it or much better.
“And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.” Genesis 11:6 NKJV
