We are living at a time when it’s difficult to distinguish the fake from the genuine. A time when it’s difficult to distinguish the children of the light and the children of darkness. This is made difficult by the fact that the Scriptures forbids us from judging others. This has made it easy for wolves to infiltrate the flock and causing untold harm. It is important we protect ourselves as believers from those who would wish to take advantage of us. Many believers have lost innocence and others have been conned by so called brothers and sisters. Jesus admonished his disciples on the need to check fruits. As much as we cannot Judge, Jesus encourage us to inspect the fruits. It is difficult to pretend for long and the characteristics of a wolf will soon appear amidst the flock. Our work is to inspect the fruits and protect ourselves. What situation are you in where God is encouraging you to note some fruits that are not of his planting but you are ignoring? What warning shots is God giving you but you are ignoring only to cry later. We may not qualify to be judges but God calls us fruit inspectors!
“For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” Luke 6:43
