We have had it said that man is to error. Mistakes are part of our lives and no matter how good our intentions are, we find ourselves erring. There is no perfect man and the closer you walk with those who you think are perfect the more their mistakes become glaring. The scriptures says that we are all slaves of sin and we always miss God’s mark of perfection even with the best of efforts.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 NKJV”
The beauty of the gospel is that God still loves us even in our imperfections. We don’t have to be good enough to qualify for God’s love. He is an expert in using the broken pieces of our lives to work out his will. In actual fact, the Sovereignty of God teaches us that God is able to overrule our mistakes and still accomplish his purposes. When David sinned with Bathsheba and even killed the husband, it would have been easier to write him off. God’s masterpiece seemed marred by sin. But when David submitted to God’s purpose, God’s hand went around this messed up lump of clay and brought forth a master piece. Where are you tempted to think sin has frustrated God’s purpose for your life? Where do you feel that God’s blessings in your life are limited and restricted by sin? When we submit to God, he never allows sin to have the final laugh in our lives. He is a God who is known to bring glory through mistakes! Take your mistakes to him today..
