God has an interesting way of shaping our destiny and contrary to what we may expect, God rarely uses family members or people that are close to us to directly lift us into our breakthroughs. It is Jesus who said it that a prophet can get honor from some other places but is never accepted at home. Instead, God will use our relatives and family members to hurt us or cause us pain as he propels us to our destiny. Joseph was cruelly treated by his own brothers as God prepared him for his lifting. David was resisted by his own brothers when God was preparing him for his purpose. Opposition from close relatives and friends is not a sign that God is not for you. It’s your people and your fellow tribesmen who will not believe in you. It’s never the nearby priest or the Levite who will assist you when attacked by robbers. God will often use a far away good Samaritan to usher us into our destiny. Total strangers will risk in helping you and standing with you. Where are you taking offense that close friends don’t seem to back you up or believe in your vision? Embrace that stranger whom you may despise since they could be Gods’s answer for you today!
