We all have dreams and desires that we wish to accomplish. We have personal aspirations and ambitions that drive and push us every day. Quite often there is no one dream that is similar to another.
“for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 NKJV”
This is largely because it is God who puts those dreams within us as he pushes us towards our destiny. When the children of Isreal asked for a King, Samuel was disturbed wondering where God’s chosen people would get such a desire from. Sometimes we develop interests in things that leave us wondering what is happening to us. A critical analysis would reveal that God did not take offense at Isreal asking for a King since he is the one who put that desire in them. God was not in a crisis mode when they asked for a King but his main concern was their impatience and inability to wait for his timing. Unknown to them God had already identified a certain boy, ‘after his own heart’ to be their king. The arrangements were on only that the boy David was still small. When God gives you a desire, whatever you need to fulfill it is at its infancy stage. You just need to be patience and trust God as he matures it. Don’t be in a rush to be given a Saul; he will mess you big! Allow God to mature your David and you will surely know that it’s God who put that desire there. What strange desires do you have and they are bothering you? Just trust and hang on God’s faithfulness. In due time God will do it and your David will manifest!
