Jewels of preservation!

Am not a fun of movies but for some reason am always captured by investigative movies. I enjoy watching those guys brings together tiny pieces of evidence that eventually guides them in apprehending a culprit or strengthening a case they have. It’s interesting how no matter how we think we have covered all traces of evidence on something we’ve done, some tiny details always remains that can speak against us. This reminds me of how God’s faithfulness operates in our lives. The enemy may try to wipe out all traces of what God’s is doing for us during our dark moments but in one way or another something remains that still shows you that God is at work. The scriptural account of Job is one such example. This godly man was earmarked by Satan for testing because of his faith in God. The man suffered untold tragedies that occurred in quick succession. One constant in all those tragedies is the fact that somehow there was always someone who survived to tell the story. God did not allow all the evidence to be lost and someone always came to alert job on what was happening. When his health was attacked, his wife somehow survived even if to torture him further and in addition his friends came over to give him moral support. No matter what tragedies we go through in life, God always preserve some remnant to give the story. As we battle Corona Virus pandemic and the harsh economic realities it’s possible for us to focus on all the bad things happening but the truth is, traces of God’s faithfulness abound all over. Furthermore, many of us are earmarked as Gods remnants of preservation who will live to tell the story. Maybe this is the time to prepare our stories of what God did for us during one of the most darkest moments in the world. How God kept your family intact, how God provided ravens to feed you, how you were in the verge of going to a quarantine centre as a contact person but somehow God intervened for you. How you were quarantined or even suffered from the pandemic but you survived. You will survive because there is a story that God will want you to tell. What tragedies has God preserved you in the past and for reasons beyond your comprehension you survived to tell the story? Where are you tempted to focus on the negatives and yet God has kept you as a beacon of his faithfulness amidst this darkness? Don’t deny the world the opportunity of letting others know how God’s hand upheld you when everything around you was crumbling apart!
“We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.” Psalms‬ ‭78:4‬ ‭NIV‬
