I am a graduate of strategic management and I believe in strategies. Planning is an integral part of life and as they say if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. On the same note, I am also a firm believer that it is not everything that happens to us in life that is the product of careful planning. There is more than good planning to the accomplishment of goals. The scriptures says that many are the plans in a man’s heart but is is the Lord’s purpose that eventually prevails. There is a God who intervenes in the realms of man to accomplish the extraordinary. Things don’t always work out the way we anticipate and breakthrough does not always follow the prescribed path. There is a God who does his things with little human involvement to fulfill his good purposes. God spoke through prophet Hosea on the destruction of the northern kingdom of Isreal, but also promised the salvation of the southern kingdom of Judah without human means. God promised to save them in his own way and not by human power. Where have you restricted God’s visitations to only what you can understand and predict? Where are you trying to contain God’s blessings to your human limitations? God does not have to use predictable means to change your circumstances. He can come to us in his own divine ways. Don’t limit God to your boss, your spouse or your job. Don’t only plan with your pocket, God’s pockets can handle exceedingly beyond what we can imagine, think or even pray about. He is not limited to using your ways and means. He saves even without human involvement!
“Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them—not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God, will save them.” Hosea 1:7 NIV
