We are living at a time when it is possible to meet a friend who smiles at you but they are on a suicide mission. Times when you will ask people how they are fairing and despite them burning in hell from within, they would still tell you that they are doing fine. We smile on the face but bleed from the heart fighting demons that are driving many to depression. Many people we come across are battling things which would shock you to death if you got to know. The scriptural story of Moses’ parents raising baby Moses is a good example. The Scriptures says that they noted he was no ordinary baby and resolved to hide him. Despite the love and the effort, they could only do it for three months and it reached a point where they could no longer hide the baby. Moses had become a problem that could no longer be hidden no matter how much they tried. The Scriptures says that they put the baby outside. Our efforts no matter how good willed they are will always reach a point where they fail. We can try to show a strong face when our inside is crying but no matter how much we try, we shall fail at some point. There is always relieve in putting somethings out there. As they say a problem shared is a problem half solved. It’s true many have been betrayed and let down when they trusted close friends but it’s better to risk letting it out that allowing it to kill you from within. When Moses’s parents decided to let go, God took over and prepared a divine rescue for the baby. What have you hidden but it’s killing you from within? What do you leave in the fear of being discovered? Where could you gain freedom by putting some things out. When we reach our end, it pays to let go and let God. There is always relieve when we let things out. Whatever is troubling you today, God has organized a rescue mission for you, release it and put it out!
“When he was placed outside, Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son.” Acts 7:21 NIV
