We can all remember those moments when circumstances forced us in one way or another to stoop low. Maybe we wanted some favor and were willing to go to any extent to obtain it. Maybe it’s a mistake we did and as they say, we can choose our kicks but we can’t choose the kickbacks. As a result we had to suffer the consequences and the kick backs forced us to stoop low. While there are still many of us who find it hard to swallow our pride and stoop low, the Scriptures speaks of a God who stoops low. When we could not get up to his level, God stooped down to ours. He has no problem with self image and can go to any extent to get us down where we are. David knew of such a God and indeed said, He is a God who stoops down to make us great. The problem with many of us is that when God is stooping down to meet us at our level, we are busy trying to raise ourselves up and ends up missing out on each other. What position are you in where you feel God cannot come to your level? Where do you think God can only bless you if you reach a certain status? Where have you disqualified yourself of God’s grace because you don’t think you deserve? Remember his Son was not born in the palace. He chose to be born in a manger with which the lowest of the lowly could identify. There is no position in life that is below God’s reach. Next time you visit the precincts of hell, ask the nearest demon to show you the exact way out that your Saviour and Lord used for to get out from the low depths of hell.
“Who is like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?” Psalms 113:5-6
