When one is sick and they are given medication, it often takes some time from the moment the medicine is taken to the time results are realised. It’s not always that you take a medicine and achieve instant results. There are moments I’ve found myself going back to the doctor fearing the medication is not working only to be send back home advised to give it time. The same thing happens in the realms of faith. Faith is a seed that is planted that usually takes a waiting period before the results are realized. What is needed is always a firm assurance that although you can’t feel it, something is already happening. The scriptures gives the account of Jesus cursing a fig tree in the presence of his disciples. Some of them must have observed hoping to see instantaneous results but nothing happened. Others may have theologically interpreted that maybe Jesus meant something else. What mattered is not what others thought but rather what Jesus had in mind. The results were eventually realized. Jesus told them that what was required was faith without doubting. A firm hold that no matter how long it takes something is cooking behind the curtains. Where have you been praying and nothings seems to change? Where have you trusted God for long and things remain the same? In what areas are you about to give up because your prayer effort seems unproductive? God is working some things behind the curtains. The leaves may appear lush and green but the roots are dying. Don’t give up believing. Hold on to faith; the manifestation is on the way!
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 NIV
