The last words of a person are very important. Be it a parent giving advise to his family or a spouse speaking to the other, their last words stick to our memories for long. A persons behavior or act is equally important. The scriptures gives the account of what Jesus did and said the night before his death. Over his last meal with his disciples, he taught them the need for humility, imploring on them the need to accommodate and serve one another irrespective of their differences. Jesus knew that nothing can undermine great legacies than pride and intolerance and his last words and actions revolved around this. Jesus knew that the way up is the way down and greatness comes through service. He implored his followers to serve one another. Great talents have been eroded by pride where gifted individuals feel they don’t want to be told or instructed confusing a mere gift with wisdom. What gifting in your life can last the test of time if only it’s managed with humility and tolerance? How would Christ’s teaching on humility change your relationships? May you make Jesus last earthly words your words this season! Happy Easter Holiday!
