Many times in life we go through challenges that keep on mounting without a foreseeable end in sight. Instances where the much we can do is just wait until God comes through for us. Periods of rest where the much we can do is just wait on God to finish whatever business He is doing and come through for us. That is what happened to brother Noah during the flood. He was locked inside the ark with the animals and only God could decide until when. It must have been boring staying inside closed for that long. Am not even sure Noah was able to pray because there were no many choices locked inside that box. The Scriptures however reminds us that whether his mind was in it or not, God remembered Noah and the animals that were in the ark. Some of us feel locked today in some situations with few or no alternatives. You find yourself doing the same thing year in year out and you wonder whether that is all there is to do in your life. Many have even given up praying because there seems to be no feasible way out. Some are wondering whether they are still in God’s program or whether God locked them in and finished his agenda with them. When God locks a door, He knows the appropriate time to open it. The one who shut Noah in the ark is the same one who remembered him together with all the animals that were locked in the ark. He knows where you are locked today and has your address. You still matter to him irrespective of your location. You won’t remain locked in that situation forever. The wind of his favor is about to blow and the waters that are covering your situation will recede. Rest on his faithfulness fully assured that you are not forgotten. You are still on God’s schedule.
“But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.” Genesis 8:1 NIV
