A lot happens in our lives that we are tempted to think no one else knows about it. We go through storms and challenges that makes us feel lonely and that no one cares. Some of us suffer silent abuse and molestation and we go through life thinking life is meant to be like that and no one is privy to our suffering. What we don’t know is that there is always an extra eye that walks the journey of life with us. An extra eye that saves us at the nick of time in the face of an accident and causes us to survive in situations where others have perished! When Hagar, Abraham’s house girl was chased away by her boss, she found herself alone in a desert wondering what would become of her life. She was a lonely girl chased away from the known to wander in the unknown. She must have felt afraid and vulnerable until the extra unseen eye spoke to her and re-directed her destiny. She was taken by surprise to know that beyond the world of who she knew, there was someone who cared of the happenings in her life. She called the one who saw her misery, “the One who sees me!” What if I told you that your challenges and fears today are not private and there is a God who is watching over you? That your pain is not alone and God is busy redirecting you in that mess. Which area have you given up hope on? There is an unseen eye that sees us! One who is always with us in the dark alleys of life to help us! Call to him! He is an ever present help in trouble!
“She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 NIV
