We all love the idea of a promised land. We imagine the new great opportunities that this land carries along with it and how our lives would change in this new promised land. Quite often what we fail to recognize is the fact that God is not creating a new promised land for us. The promised land already belongs to some other people who have taken for granted the opportunities that God has given them. Every blessing that God has gifted you with and which you maybe tempted to take for granted today is a promised land for someone else. When the Canaanites refused to recognize God’s blessings on the beautiful land God had given them, it became a promised land for someone else. That job you are never grateful for will become someone else promised land. You will see them thrive and prosper where you struggled and in what you took for granted. The tools of your prosperity are within your reach only that you’ve chosen to play blind to them or take them for granted. Maybe the secret of your breakthrough is that wife or husband you choose to assume. It could be that friend or neighbor you never say hey to. I know we all want promised lands but am sorry to tell you that God is not creating new lands. Your promised land is already in the hands of someone else. Be diligence with the opportunities that God has given you and be grateful for them. They might as well become someone else’s promised land.
“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I Thess 5:18
