What is this?

Everyone loves and longs to get a pleasant surprise. When good things we do not anticipate come our way, they always come with a refreshing feel. God as a loving father loves to surprise his children. When the Israelites were journeying through the desert on their way to the promised land, the question of food was a major one and most likely Moses wondered how he would feed this multitude. What Moses did not know is that God had already figured out how to feed them in the desert when he planned their journey through there. God actually rained a surprise for them which they called, “what is this?” Manna is the Hebrew word for, “what is this? God is not in a crisis when you are passing through trouble. He is not surprised that we are going through the current emotions. We need to be on the lookout for God’s surprises both in the personal front and national front. God knew we shall pass this way and has already provided our supplies for the journey ahead. Fix your eyes upon Jesus and looked fully into his wonderful grace! The fears of this world will just fade away. Next time a surprise happens, recognize God’s hand and just bow down in worship and exclaim, “What is this?”
“So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.” Exodus‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭NKJV‬
