Life is one mystery that starts from the moment we are born and continues until we take our last breathe. It’s always unpredictable with its many twists and turns and no one is able to understand or figure out its mysteries. Things can change overnight without warning and the only thing we can be sure of is the here and the now. One central theme that runs across the scriptural book of Ecclesiastes is the encouragement for us to enjoy life amidst its many twists and turns. God tells us through the pages of this book that we can have fun with whatever cards life has dealt us. We don’t have to figure out or understand everything. Enjoying life is a condition of the heart that is not necessarily depended with what is happening around us. We may not get all the answers to life’s questions but that is not necessary as long as we are in contact with the one who knows everything. It’s not a must for us to have all the answers to the difficult things of life or to have everything figured out in order for us to enjoy life. We should not use difficult moments as reasons for us to be gloomy and sad. When Corona virus locks us indoors, God is giving us an opportunity to celebrate with our families or to discover the serenity of solitude. Do not let the devil deny you the peace of the moment by feeling you’ve been denied something. We thrive irrespective of the environment because we know the boss who owns every environment. Where are you feeling you cannot enjoy life because things have not turned out as you anticipated? Where do you feel your life would be better and different if only something changed? Dance to the tunes of life no matter the music. Enjoy each day as if it’s the best you’ll ever have. Remove sadness from your face and let the devil know, you are determined to enjoy life no matter what happens.
“A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God,” Ecclesiastes 2:24 NIV
