As we climb the ladders of life, it’s human to prepare for some soft landings just incase of a fall. We call it covering our back just incase the worst happens. We face life hoping for the best but somehow making preparations for the worst. We like making sure that we have people to cover our back if it comes to the worst and that there is always a plan B somewhere. It’s human to want to have something to fall back to. Unfortunately when we get into a relationship with God, the first thing He does is to make sure that He removes all our soft landings and frustrates all our fall back plans. God somehow leaves us exposed and it’s not impossible to feel exposed in our walk with him. Why? Because He wants us to trust him with the whole of our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. He makes close people turn their backs on us or people we helped forget us. Potiphar whom you served very well throws you into jail and the Cup bearer you interpreted a dream for forgets you in jail. He removes all our fake walls of protection so that we may learn to lean and trust in him. What is your soft landing? What is your plan B? What is your fall back plan? When I met God, all my plan B somehow fails. I have learned to walk by faith and to trust Him more! Now you know who let the dogs out!
“Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.” Isaiah 31:1 NIV
