One reality about life is the fact that it is not a constant journey. Life has its many ups and downs comprising a share of good moments and a share of bad moments. The main danger is where we get so much used to one season of life that we fail to anticipate the other. God sent prophet Hosea to Israel during their high moments to remind them that a low moment was coming. God had tried speaking to them during their good moments but they would not listen. He told them a wilderness was on the way where they will be able to listen to him. Good days have a way of hardening our hearts and making us complacent. God knew that a wilderness would do the magic. This is because there is something about pain that insists on been attended to. He also told them that He will turn the valley of trouble to become a doorway of hope. He doesn’t take us to the wilderness to destroy us. Where have you refused to hear God attentively because you are so busy with your own life? Where has your busy life replaced quite moments with your creator? Could you be in trouble today because God wants you to hear him speak? God whispers to us in our pleasure, he speaks to us in our conscious but he shouts to us in our pain. Pain is Gods megaphone to a arouse our deafness! Don’t harden your heart. In your trouble, just tell him to speak for his servant is listening!
““Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her.” Hosea 2:14 NIV
